Man To PD: I'm Growing Marijuana - Man Asks How Much Trouble He'd Get In For Growing One Plant
FARMINGTON, Conn. - A man who dialed 911 to ask Farmington police to how much trouble he’d get in by growing one marijuana plant has been arrested. Farmington police said the call came into dispatch about 8 p.m. Thursday. When the dispatcher told the man he could get arrested, the caller said thank you and hung up, according to police. Police traced the call to 192 Waterville Road in Farmington. Narcotics officers went to scene and discovered the man was growing marijuana, according to police. Police said Robert Michelson admitted spending a lot of money on line buying everything he needed to grow marijuana, including the seeds. Narcotics officers seized from the scene a small amount of marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia for growing and smoking marijuana. Police said Michelson was released on bond.

Robber jailed after falling asleep with Purley victim's wallet
A robber was jailed after being caught slumped in a restaurant with his victims wallet still in his pocket. Levan Page, 22 and Ian Sullivan, 20, were both convicted of robbery at Croydon Crown Court in November. The pair attacked two men at a bus stop in Purley and then went on to a restaurant and got so drunk Sullivan fell asleep while his friends ran out on the bill. The owners called the police and when they arrived they searched Sullivan and found a wallet belonging to one of the men who had been robbed...Page and Sullivan both pleaded guilty to robbery and were jailed for a total of five years...
